Can you tell me how to set my profile photo/Avatar? Sure! You can set your avatar just by going to your profile and selecting "Update Your Image". This will take you to a page where you can pick one of the stock pics to represent you, or upload your own photo.
Your profile photo is used in several places in the site as your Avatar, that is, it accompanies your name as a kind of signature to let people know who you are. This works well for a place like Kennealy's, where people might know your face, but not remember your name. It has been a few years since we've seen you, or vice versa! Just click the browse button, find the picture you want to upload on your computer, and click open. The picture filename should appear in the "select file" box. Then click the upload button to send it to the site. That's it! Your picture should now be in your profile and a small version set as your avatar. Profile pics have to be less than 200 pixels wide and less than 500 tall. Vertically oriented (portrait) pictures usually look best, but horizontal (landscape) or square photos will work too. When the photo is sized down for your avatar, horizontal and square pictures may look squashed or stretched. |
